Winning Coach Loses Job

Mike Brown worked his way from video coordinator and Denver Nuggets team scout in 1992 to Gregg Popovich's assistant Spurs coach (winning at least 58 games each season) to Rick Carlisle's associate coach, helping guide Indiana to consecutive playoff appearances (including a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2004)...Mike Brown acted as head coach for the Spurs' summer league teams...And when he left the Spurs to join Rick Carlisle on his journey with the Pacers, it was after assisting Pop to the 2003 NBA championship.
